The Space
Walk in. Breathe out.
The first thing you notice is the light. It falls across warm plaster walls and catches the grain of solid maple reformers. Cognac leather straps hang in clean rows. Brushed brass pendants cast a warm glow overhead. Cream towels, rolled and waiting.
It's quiet. Not sterile quiet — the kind of quiet that tells you someone thought about every surface, every material, every detail in this room. The kind of space where you exhale before class even begins.
Because where you move matters as much as how you move.
The Practice
Small classes. Real attention.
Six to eight people per class. Your instructor knows your name, your body, your history. They see the shoulder that compensates. They remember the spring change that unlocked something last week. This is reformer Pilates the way it's supposed to feel — personal, precise, and progressive.
Every instructor is handpicked. They're not here because they need a shift — they're here because they believe in the work. Teaching at SOFI is a choice, not a fallback. That difference shows up in every cue, every correction, every class.
Whether you're brand new or ten years deep, the practice meets you where you are. No ego. No performance. Just the work.
The Neighborhood

SOFI is a neighborhood studio. Not a chain. Not a box gym with reformers in the back. A studio built for the people who live here, designed to become part of the fabric of their week.
We chose Nassau County because the gap is obvious. There's chain fitness on one end, Manhattan pricing on the other, and very little in between that actually respects both your time and your practice. SOFI lives in that space.

Built by an entrepreneur who operates an established reformer studio in Brooklyn and believes the studio experience should match the practice — intentional, warm, and uncompromising.
